Vineyards in the Jonkershoek Valley are rarer than hen’s teeth and when the opportunity came to acquire a long-term lease on this small vineyard, we jumped. This wine is vegan-friendly

Tasting Note

Blackcurrant fruit aromas with sweet spice and leather. This wine has an excellent balance between fruit, acidity and tannins.

Fruit Source

This vineyard is a pretty, 1.5 hectare “close” just up the road from Stark-Condé. It is planted with Syrah, Mourvèdre and Grenache.

Terroir

It is just up the road from Stark-Condé, but the Lingen vineyard has Vilafonté soils (as opposed to Clovelly and Hutton on Stark-Condé).
